The new terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru, will be a state-of-the-art airport facility designed to improve the travel experience for passengers and increase the airport's capacity to accommodate an expected 37.7 million passengers by 2030.
A team of experienced LATAM LOGISTICS consultants provided consulting services for the design, implementation and operation of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and the Hold Baggage Inspection (HBS) as part of the development of the project. Consulting services provided for the new terminal included:
- Systems Design and Engineering (2021 – 2022): Guidelines for the design and engineering of BHS and HBS systems, ensuring they comply with international industry standards and local regulations, while being cost-effective.
- Vendor Tender Evaluation (2022): As part of the project, the consulting team cross-checked proposals from BHS and HBS suppliers to ensure project stakeholders were getting maximum value for their money.
- Project Management (in progress): The consulting team oversaw the implementation of the BHS and HBS systems, reviewed supplier progress, and managed project timelines.
