Vinci won the bidding contest held by ANAC for the expansion, maintenance and operation of Manaus Airport in Brazil for a period of 30 years. After Vinci Airports took over management of the airport, the operator initiated an infrastructure improvement program.
In this regard, Vinci Airports contracted LATAM LOGISTICS for the conceptual design of the Baggage Handling System (BHS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) and Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) for the Manaus - Eduardo Gomes International Airport.
The consulting services provided included:
- System Design and Engineering: Guidelines for the design and engineering of BHS, HBS and SSCP systems to ensure compliance with international industry standards and local regulations, as well as cost-effectiveness.
- Tender documentation: Preparation of tender documentation for the different systems.
