Project Description

LATAM LOGISTICS developed the conceptual design and expansion plan for the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at Santorini Airport, ensuring its integration within a brownfield environment highly restrictive. The project optimized baggage capacity and routing by introducing redundancy and advanced automation to modernize the system without disrupting the terminal’s daily operations.

Services provided:

  • Conceptual design and redefinition of the baggage routing strategy (MFD).

  • Level 3 automation with dual-view X-ray equipment and in-line reinjection.

  • BHS 3D modeling and power and structural calculations.

  • Preparation of a phased installation plan to ensure operational continuity.
